Fred Young Submillimeter Telescope (FYST) starts its journey to Chile

Prof. Dr Dominik A. We are now a significant step closer to the groundbreaking scientific observations we expect from FYST”

The Fred Young Submillimeter Telescope (FYST) planned and assembled by CCAT Observatory Inc., an international scientific consortium in which Prof. Dominik Riechers is the main responsible in the University of Cologne is on its way from the port of Wesel via Antwerp to its new location in Chile.

it will be one of the most powerful survey telescopes in the world at submm wavelenghts.
