APEX is a radio telescope with a 12-meter reflector diameter, located in the breathtaking expanse of the Chilean Atacama Desert. APEX exists as a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the Onsala Space Observatory (OSO), where the PI Prof. Dr. Amélie Saintonge and the CoPI Dr. Bernd Klein are deeply involved. The APEX telescope is a modified ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter Array) prototype antenna and is at the site of the ALMA observatory.
