Students of the both lectures “Scalable Machine Learning for astrophysical surveys” at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and “Performance Engineering” at the University of Köln, responsibility of our cooperation partners at the German Aerospace Science, Dr. Alexander Rüttgers and Dr. Achim Basermann, respectively, participated in a tour of the European Astronaut Centre (ESA) at the DLR. Afterwards the students, who are from the fields of mathematics, computer science and (astro)physics, had the opportunity of having exciting insights into the topics “Analysing Rocket Engines”, “Simulations of helicopter flights” and “Pandemic simulations” through different presentations.
